Spicy Ginger Margaritas

When in the desert with hoards of thirsty friends, one wants to be able to satisfy, with minimum effort and maximum results. I told Jacq to bring her juicer with her and so got to work straight away juicing fresh ginger root and some limes. I filled a pitcher one third with Cointreau, one third with fresh lime juice, two thirds with Fortaleza blanco tequila. I love this tequila, you should all drink this tequila. It will change your life.

For each pitcher I added about six inches of freshly juiced ginger root. I like it spicy. Taste and adjust. We poured our margaritas into rocks glasses over ice and piled in the pool. Let the weekend begin!

Remember tequila and champagne have a marvelous affinity. I like to “royale” my margaritas occasionally (add a float of champagne on the top), after all Champagne makes everything better! Cheers! xo, Alice
